A Special Invitation

Dear Friends,

We are so excited about the difference God is making in the lives of Youth around the world! During 2007, as we participated in Regional Nazarene Youth Conferences, we witnessed God’s power as He used our Youth Leaders to “call this generation to a dynamic life in Christ.”

While we praise God and celebrate what He has done through NYI this past year, we are keenly aware that there are still many Youth that have yet to hear about Jesus for the first time. This is the reason why again this year we are calling upon you and your congregation to be part of God’s work with Youth by supporting Youth Week sometime during 2008 and participating in the Global Youth Evangelism Offering (February 4th on the USA/Canada Region).

Thanks for supporting Youth by …

  • Praying for God’s people as they continue to provide the funds that enable NYI to not only call this generation, but also to lead them into a dynamic life in Christ. Also pray for each young person who has yet to be introduced to Jesus. Pray that their hearts would be drawn to Christ through the work and ministry of every Youth Group in every Church.
  • Planning to recognize and celebrate the Youth in your Church by honoring them in special services and activities during Youth Week 2008 (January 28 - February 3 on the USA/Canada Region). There are many different ways to facilitate this and we have provided some suggestions here. We also have created a Youth Week Lesson and Devotional Set in English, French, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. (USA/Canada Region Churches can visit the Fuel Week web site for Regional Resources.)
  • Promoting this year’s Global Youth Evangelism Offering. You can download posters, bulletin inserts and other materials to help you plan and carry out Youth Week in your Church by visiting this page. If another date would better fit your local Church calendar, please feel free to receive the offering on a date of your choosing. We are praying for 100% participation during 2008.
  • Participating in Youth Week and the Global Youth Evangelism Offering. This special week of Youth focus can be a strategic inter-generational opportunity which will strengthen your congregation.

Thank you for supporting the Global Youth Evangelsim Offering and Youth Week again this year! Because of your willing leadership, we are making a continued impact on the Youth of the world!
